It is a known issue that some IBO’s, including us, have had to fight to maintain that their agents are in fact Independent Contractors. We have done the research. We have built the contracts and we feel that ours are rock solid. We are making sure we not only follow but address every single item that both the IRS and the DOL for every state looks at when making the determination of IC status.
I want to let you know how incredibly important it is to have solid contracts in place right away if you are planning on having Agents join your business or if you already have Agents under your business. We have had over 1,000 IBO’s purchase our documents and they have all been very happy with their purchase and have raved in the IBO Facebook groups about our contracts.
We have had multiple issues where Agents have tried to get unemployment benefits, government assistance and unknowingly opened cases against our business. Just by having them sign the contracts is not enough, you must follow the contracts in order for them to be effective.
